Buddy was roommates with Lucy and Bella Brown Cat. Lucy is still small and soft. Buddy is also a black cat like Lucy, and he also
has soft fur.
Before Ray's mom passed away in November of 2006, we had taken her cats, Snow and Killer B Kitty in to live with us. After Ray's
mom passed away, we rented the home out to a friends daughter and her husband.
The community is for older folks, and you need to be 55 or older to live there. If, however, a situation like this occurs, people tend
to let things slide a bit. In this economy, they are even more willing to be flexible. We had been very fortunate indeed as they have
been there for a number of years.
At some point, while these young folks had been renting the house, they came to realize that taking care of four cats was too much
for them to handle. Ray had already mentioned that if they ever thought they needed to give up their cats, they should talk to him
about it first.
One orange kitty was adopted, but Ray was able to bring Bella Brown Cat and Lucy home to live with us. Buddy was the last cat to
stay behind.
Recently, the young couple realized they would need to move out of the home, and Ray asked if Buddy might like to come and live with
Lucy and Bella (who used to live with Buddy in that home).
It was decided that Buddy might have a very nice home here with us and his former room mates, and Ray went by and picked Buddy up
to bring him home.
Buddy came home to a private suite overlooking squirrels and birds who come by the feeder just in front of the front window.
Buddy rapidly adjusted to life in the office and now had full range of the office with the other office kitties.
Buddy is in the office with Biff, Ethel, Peanut, Linus, Bella Brown Cat, Mini Cat and Smokey.
Buddy gets along with all of the office cats, giving Mini Cat a little extra space (as they all do!).
