Biff (Biffy Boy)

Biff is our tenth cat. Biff is special in that he belonged to a young man who was single and had a cat. He worked a lot of hours and was concerned that his cat was far too lonely. While he loved his cat, and it hurt him to feel a need to have him adopted by someone else, he felt that it would be best for Biff.

Biff is a big boy. He is chubby and soft. He is a great big hug. Ray's wife says that Biff's fur looks like it sparkles... it does too, he is a very handsome cat. He actually looks like he is wearing a suit, all fancy and proper. He also doesn't have a mean bone in his body, all this cat does is love.

He is full grown and is kind, gentle and loving. Our only care for Biff is that he is happy and knows that he is loved. That, of all things to us, is the most important thing, that the kitties demonstrate that they realize that we love them.

They confirm this to us through the way they play with us, each other and how they interact with each other and with us. Do they call out for us? Do they follow us around the house? When we are nearby, do they show an interest in what we are up to? Things like that show us that they are aware of us. How they interact with us lets us know how much they trust us.

You can walk right up to Biff and if you pick him up the right way, he will allow you to do so. Since he is so big and soft, the first thing you would want to do is hug him. He seems to like it. The next thing you find is that you want to kiss his head and snuggle with him. He appears to like this as well.

He loves to sit on the ottoman and relax most of the day. He allows us to pet, snuggle and hold him, and, of course, kiss him on the head.

Biff Update

Biff hangs around Ray during the day, sitting on Ray's chair (Biff took ownership of the big boy chair a while ago). Mini, Bella and now Foster sort of hang out near Ray and Biff in the main office during the day. Biff lounges on the chair, the coffee table or hangs out with Linus. Biff doesn't really move a lot, but when he wants to, the big man has some serious cat moves!

Wait for me Biff...

5 March 2017 - Biff passed away in our arms this evening.

There is not a cat that I do not love, but Biff was truly special. When Bun Bun passed away, the front office where I work opened up to any cat who wanted to come in and hang out with me... Biff was the first one in, and he claimed the desk where I work as his. He sat with me most of the time that I was in the office, only very rarely would he be somewhere else, but when he was, he was typically all snuggled up with another cat or three.

He was a great big ball of love, and like all of them - all they do... is love.

Wait for me Biff... when I get there, I will be looking for you, Bun Bun, and all of our family...
