Experience

Experiences are events that happen, which we either witness directly, or actively take part in.

Our context of experience is the realm of those events which shape us, evolve us into the beings that we have become, and will become. It is one thing to "know" what the right path to success is - and quite another to actually travel it.

Life, a funny thing, often gets in the way of the best plans of action. Some folks are truly fortunate in knowing how they want to proceed, then actually being able to progress along that path. For most people, "life happens."

It is not necessarily a detriment to those who have taken a long way around to get to the place they want to be, and often, the long way gave them the tools in which they could forge a more solid foundation. We never truly know what the future holds for us, so we must be prepared as if we have no idea what might come our way.

Our definition of luck (not an original, but we adopt it) is that, "Luck is what happens when opportunity and preparedness, meet."

Opportunities happen all the time. For many of us, a great number of opportunities slipped right through our fingers, yet, had we "taken advantage" of those opportunities when we had been ill prepared, what would have been the end result? Typically, not a good one.

This is another facet of ETE. In our continued personal and professional development, we desire to focus on experiences which funnel us towards greater success.

We also seek out experiences which promote positive results towards our fellow beings.
