Membership

"Membership" in ETE:

ETE is an organization that does not require reporting in, attending meetings or direct participation. We do not collect membership fees at this time and we do not currently hold any annual meetings or conventions.

One might ask, "Why join an organization that requires nothing?" The answer is pretty much, because you can.

What ETE represents are the ideals that in order to create a better society, the members of that society must take proactive steps in doing so. You can think of it as the "think globally, act locally" way of doing your part to ensure a solid society.

In the lowest ranks of ETE, there are the "enlisted ranks". These are members who have graduated high school or obtained a GED, both are equal, and go about their work in a legal, ethical and professional manner. They are the best, most solid employees that a company could hope to have.

These members are vital to society because they get things done in the office, on the plant floor, they are the back bone of a company, they get the job done!

They also have, at their very core, the burning desire to succeed at some level that provides a solid and secure future for themselves and their families. This level may be in lower to mid level management, or it could be in becoming an entrepreneur, hiring vast numbers of employees and paying them solid fair wages (or better). The level of success isn't the point here, it is the burning desire to succeed that places these members among those who should join our ranks, like minded professionals.

Our core goal, our very soul, is the continued personal and professional development for the betterment of society. By taking personal ownership of your own personal and professional development in a legal, moral and ethical manner, you are creating a better society. And that is the primary reason to "join" us in this valiant effort.

How to join ETE and become a member in good standing:

There are minimal requirements:
  • You must be at least 21 years of age.
  • You must have a high school diploma or GED, both are equal.
  • You must have the drive, desire and tenacity to seek success for yourself.
  • You must seek such success which is legal, moral and ethical - greed is not good!
  • You must seek to offer a hand up (not a hand out) to others along the way, particularly other members.
ETE holds that there are two types of discipline, imposed and self. Imposed discipline is simple, an entity forces it's will upon the party whom specific behaviors are evoked.

Self discipline is much harder to achieve, but much more powerful for the success of the individual, and society, when it is.

To join, you must meet the minimum requirements outlined above. If you wish for us to maintain a record of your membership in our offices, you must tell us who you are and that you desire that recognition officially.

A note: On membership... as you can see on the rank page, education and time set up automatic promotions. What you need is a starting date. While almost anyone can join the organization if they meet the minimum requirements, in order to progress, they need a starting date.

Everyone should have the availability of using the same initial starting date, so, for those members who had met the minimum requirements above at the time we opened our doors, your starting date would be 1 January 2010!

For example, if you had turned 21 before 1 January 2010, then 1 January 2010 is your starting date. If you turned 21 after 1 January 2010, then your birthday is your starting date!

The exception to this is for the requirements above the rank of Major. For all 5.3 Majors and above, ETE must approve you directly.
